As the 4th of July approaches, Woodland, CA is gearing up for a day full of fun, festivities, and community spirit. One of the highlights of this year’s celebration is the Pancake Breakfast hosted by the Woodland Professional Firefighters Association at Fire Station #3. This annual event is a beloved tradition, bringing together families, friends, and neighbors to kick off Independence Day with delicious food and great company.
Pancake Breakfast:
Join us at Fire Station #3 from 8-11 am for a hearty breakfast of fluffy pancakes served up by our dedicated firefighters. It’s the perfect way to start your day before heading out to enjoy all the other exciting events planned throughout Woodland. Whether you’re a long-time resident or a visitor, this breakfast offers a fantastic opportunity to meet local heroes, connect with your community, and fuel up for the day’s activities.
Bike Parade and Celebration:
After breakfast, head over to Heritage Plaza where the fun continues with the annual Bike Parade. Decorate your bikes from 9 am and register your creative designs between 9-9:45 am. The parade begins at 10 am, taking participants on a scenic ride to the Library. There, you’ll find live music, bounce houses, and refreshing snow cones to keep the celebration going strong.
Ice-Cream Social:
Cool down in the afternoon with the Ice-Cream Social hosted by Woodland Senior Center Inc. From 1-3 pm at the Community & Senior Center, enjoy a variety of ice cream flavors while mingling with fellow community members. This event is always a hit, providing a sweet treat and a chance to relax before the evening festivities.
Swim Fest:
Dive into the fun at the free Swim Fest from 1-3:45 pm at the Community Swim Center. This family-friendly event is perfect for cooling off in the summer heat, featuring activities and games for swimmers of all ages.
Fireworks Celebration:
The grand finale of Woodland’s 4th of July celebration is the Fireworks Celebration at Woodland High School. Pre-fireworks festivities begin at 6 pm, offering entertainment and activities leading up to the spectacular fireworks show around 9:15 pm. Bring your blankets and lawn chairs, and enjoy the dazzling display with friends and family.
